Platform independent - open - affordable
The OLAP back-end is powered by a Java based relational OLAP server. A MySQL database is used for storage of data and meta data. Despite the OLAP server will process SQL-statements, the end users don't need to know SQL to formulate their business questions. They will work in an environment using "real-world" semantics. These will be automatically translated and converted to SQL-queries. When desired, other relational databases can be used for data storage. The combination of the complete open database and the java platform makes our software completely platform independent, open and therefore affordable.

The front-end is a Java client. It is providing end users with an easy to use navigator for data analysis and a front-end for building reports. Administrators will use the maintenance application for configuring the OLAP server. Developers can use the administrator toolbox to design and build analytical applications like KPI-dashboards or management briefings.
